Cisco will postpone expansion of the two floors it occupies in Petaluma's Redwood Business Park, but plans proceed on a deal to develop a 3.4 million sf building in Catellus Development Corp owned Pacific Commons business park in Fremont. on Automall Parkway near I-880. Construction is expected to begin after September after Cisco completes the permit process.

Catellus is also wrapping up construction of a 74,000 sf building for Intel in the same park. Intel recently announced about 5,000 employee cutbacks.

Cisco recently completed a campus in Milpitas and signed a 10-year lease on 220,000 sf of the proposed Emerald Point project in Dublin. The company also signed a lease for 153,000 sf in Lincoln Centre at the Hacienda Business Park in Pleasanton. The lease is with Lincoln Property Co.

Cisco also has plans to develop a 688-acre campus in South San Jose with an eventual 7 million sf, although the project has a strong opposition and may not be resolved anytime soon.
