RS Medical, a medical equipment distributor, will reportedly use its new building primarily as a call center to support its 200-employee operation. The Columbia Ultimate proposal, to accommodate a growing headquarters staff of 250, leaves room for a future expansion to 75,000 sf.
Columbia Ultimate is still waiting for the necessary approval from the City of Vancouver. Site clearing for RS Medical's new one-story building began last week after a two-year delay thanks to a traffic-based moratorium on new development near East Mill Plain Boulevard that recently was lifted. Completion is now slated for October.
