MEMPHIS, TN-Mid-American Apartment communities, a medium-range apartment REIT with 15 properties in North and South Carolina, is paying a dividend of 19 cents per share on its series A cumulative preferred stock and a full-month dividen of 18 cents per share on its series B cumulative preferred.
Both dividends will be paid May 15. The REIT's properties average 10 years in age.
Mid-America owns 33,781 apartments in the Southeast, Midwest and Texas with 149 units under development.
