"The foundation for a great office market is still in place," Ed Frieze tells GlobeSt.com. "Strong underlying job and population growth is driving impressive demand for local apartments and will help the office market emerge later in the year from a tough corporate environment in the first and second quarters."

From March 2000 to March 2001, the DFW region had 104,500 jobs created, a 3.8% annual growth increase in comparison to 1% nationwide. And, the jobs are in solid sectors such as telecommunications, high-tech electronics, aerospace-defense, transportation and financial services. In his latest White Paper, Frieze forecasts another 80,000 jobs will be created this year.
