Target, Krispy Kreme, and Chili's restaurant are among the tenants in a new 225,000-sf shopping center in Rosemont. Ryan has been involved in the redevelopment of a caulking plant in the northwest suburb, a project that involved "challenging obstacles related to environmental issues, zoning and easements," says director retail development John Bell. Target will open in July, Krispy Kreme by the end of the summer and the Chili's is under construction.
Famous Footwear, Great Clips, Payless Shoes and Radio Shack have signed leases at the Long RunMarketplace at State Street and Archer Avenue in southwest suburban Lemont. They will occupy 15,000 sf in two buildings next to the 270,000-sf retail center Ryan Cos. built in 2000.
Ryan plans to complete a 440,000-sf redevelopment at 250 Gary Ave. in Carol Stream for Saturn Freight Systems Distribution. Ryan bought a functionally obsolete 250,000-sf building in the west suburb and built an expansion.
