Maxus Realty Trust had owned the property, about one mile south of O'Hare International Airport, since December 1986. Its holdings have been reduced to three properties: office buildings in Bloomington, MN and Omaha, NE as well as a 110-unit apartment complex in Kansas City.
The proceeds from the Franklin Park industrial property sale may be reinvested in other properties or returned to shareholders through increased dividends, Maxus says.
