EPSIIA caters to the financial industry and thus, the need for the closely guarded location, says Cody Young. It is EPSIIA's second Austin location and represents a 10-fold expansion for the firm, which specializes in document archival, retrieval and presentment solutions. Fifteen more people have been hired for the office rollout. The CBD site has been selected for its high-priority power grid.

EPSIIA's next stop will be in Kansas City, Young tells GlobeSt.com. The company has another site in Columbus, GA.

The 1,600-sf office network provides 60 terabytes of information. "It's not a small facility," Young stresses. The Web hosting site, says EPSIIA's Pete Kaufmann, "allows our clients to do more for less, without making a huge technology investment in turnkey systems."

EPSIIA partners with Austin-based Aperian, which has its data centers on the selling block, but this is not one of those facilities, Young says. The EPSIIA facility provides such high-tech security systems as biometric fingerprint scanners, perimeter monitors, video surveillance and motion detectors. EPSIIA has at least 90 employees in its Austin and Columbus facilities plus maintains affiliate offices in the United Kingdom, Canada, Argentina, Chile and Brazil.
