Cushman & Wakefield of New Jersey, East Rutherford, orchestrated both transactions, with senior director Dennis McConnell leading a team that included Jodie Matthews and Dan Reardon. In the first lease, Abbott took 36,744 sf directly from the owner of Morris Corporate Center I and II, the State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio. Kevin Welch of the Paramus office of CB Richard Ellis represented the property owner.
C&W also negotiated the sublease of 21,250 sf with New York Life Investment Management Holdings, which recently moved its offices to another Parsippany address. Jeffrey Heller of C&W's East Rutherford office and Mitti Liebersohn of the Manhattan headquarters represented New York Life.
