William F. Smith Enterprises Inc., an executive suite operator, is staying put in 18,629 sf at 555 Republic Place, a Mack-Cali Corp. office structure in Plano. The firm has been a tenant at the class-A building since 1985.
Mack-Cali's leasing manager Rick Rensi has represented his company in the lease signing for the 97,889-sf building, which is 95% occupied. Bill Cawley of the Cawley Wilcox Cos. has acted on the tenant's behalf.
Also in Plano, HNTB Corp., a global architectural and engineering firm, has signed for 19,415 sf of office space at Gleneagles Office Center II. The property is located at 5910 W. Plano Parkway. Buddy Tompkins of Wilcox Realty Group has represented the building owner and Sanders Campbell of NAI Stoneleigh Huff Brous McDowell has acted for the tenant in the lease negotiations.
In McKinney, Starbucks will be opening a new metroplex store in 2,177 sf at Cameron Crossing, a shopping center located at the southwest corner of Texas 380 and US Highway 75. Karen McCulley and Hannah Douglas, both of Dallas-based Weitzman Group's commercial retail division, have negotiated the deal for owner, McKinney/Hunt CC Ltd. and Lawrence Attaway of United Commercial Realty's Dallas office has represented the tenant.
At Northpoint Trade Center Phase II in Ft. Worth, the Plywood Company of Ft. Worth has signed a lease for 25,200 sf of industrial space. The two-building project totals about 213,000 sf and is located at 731 820 Blvd. Todd Burnette, a senior vice president with the Trammell Crow Co.'s Ft. Worth office, and associate Brenda Forman have represented the building owner, Northpoint II JV.
The Brunette-Forman team also has signed New Cargo Furniture Inc. to 136,577 sf at 2900 W. Seminary in Ft. Worth. Mark Skinner of Bradford Realty Services in Dallas has acted on behalf of the property owner, Transcontinental Realty.
Pier I Imports is taking 18,000 sf at Tindall Square at Ft. Worth's 500 E. Fourth St., a holding of Tindall Properties Inc. Burnette and Forman have represented the tenant. Additional information about the Trammell Crow leases has not been available by press time.
