The grand opening will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2001 at 6 p.m. with a board cutting and other events. In addition to hardware, lumber and building materials, the Sherwood Home Depot will offer interior design elements such as flooring, lighting, paint and wallcoverings, as well as a 15,000-square-foot outdoor garden center.
Atlanta, GA-based Home Depot was founded in 1978. It now employs 250,000 associates in 1,206 stores in 48 states, Puerto Rico, Canada, Chile and Argentina. Its fiscal 2000 sales are estimated at $45.7 billion.
