The project included demolishing and rebuilding the lower level lobby staircase to make the 86-year-old building compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, preserving crown molding, installing new terrazzo floors as well as a front desk.
"The main challenge of the renovation was incorporating the wheelchair platform lift into the design as well as maintaining the building's architectural character," says Vince Zuppa, the senior property manager for Trammell Crow who oversaw the renovation.
Cheryl Rome, principal of C. Rome Designs, provided interior design services. John Castholm of the firm was architect and project manager for the redevelopment.
