Crescent is donating the use of nearly 5,000 parking spaces to the convention center expansion and convention center hotel groundbreaking. "I am delighted that Crescent is able to provide this essential service for the city's celebration and pleased that they are one of the major sponsors for the Countdown to Downtown event,"says John Castillo, a Houston city councilman. Castillo represents the district where the convention center hotel will be located. Crescent has a large portfolio including Houston Center 1, 2, 4 and 5 in the CBD in addition to notable office properties in Greenway Plaza.
