Regency Centers, a national owner, operator and developer of grocery-anchored shopping centers, plans to open the Campus Marketplace in early November.
The neighborhood shopping center will be anchored by Ralphs and Longs Drugs, with commitments from other retailers, including Discovery Isle Daycare, Blockbuster, Starbucks, Washington Mutual, Point Loma Credit Union, Mail Boxes Etc., Great Clips, Subway and other local tenants.
The shopping center is already 80% pre-leased, according to Gregg Sadowsky, Regency's vice president and regional officer for Southern California. He anticipates signing four more leases within the next 30 days.
With the addition of Campus Marketplace, Regency Centers will own and operate five shopping centers in San Diego County.
As of June 30, the self-administered and managed real estate investment trust owned 266 retail properties totaling 28.8 million sf.
