Century's version of the concept made its debut last year in Evanston, IL. The six-screen theater at Palo Alto Square will mark CinéArts' second location in the country, replacing Landmark Theater, which was previously located in the space. "We know the community is eager to have continued access to independent and artistic films," says Peter Adams, senior vice president in Equity's strategic planning and operations unit.
Century Theatres owns and operates over 700 screens in 11 states, with a heavy presence in the San Francisco Bay Area. Equity is the nation's largest publicly held office building owner and manager with 125 million sf in 24 states.
