Both newspapers, under separate ownership, are printed and distributed under a joint operating agreement with Detroit Newspapers. The two papers are recognized as Michigan's largest daily newspapers.
Geoff Hill and Jack Coury, both senior vice presidents at Grubb and Ellis, spearheaded the transaction.
