John Gates, former vice president, will oversee the administrative functions and implement new strategies for the southwestern US. The 11-year Staubach veteran will continue to represent clients in his new role. Gates was responsible for the strategic development and execution of the full gamut of project types and deals such as operating and capital leases, acquisitions, dispositions and build-to-suit developments. He also coordinated the firm's research in the marketplace.
In a prepared statement, Elysia Holt Ragusa, president of Staubach's real estate services division, says Gates was instrumental in the growth of the firm's southwest operations. During his tenure, Gates has led projects for Advanced Micro Devices, American Airlines, Cisco Systems, Capital One Financial, Dell Computer, GTE, MCI WorldCom, PepsiCo and the Sabre Group.
