Sands Will Add 10,000 SF of Casino Space

ATLANTIC CITY-Casino Control Commission rules that the Sands' lease of an adjacent hotel property qualifies as an expansion and entitles the struggling hotel to more gaming space.

Under current regulations, the additional rooms brought to the Sands complex will permit the latter to add up to 10,000 sf of casino space. No timeline has been established for the casino expansion.

In the meantime, the Sands, Atlantic City's third smallest casino/hotel property has already begun work on converting the 13-story Madison into 113 suites. The conversion project is slated to be completed by early next year.
