"We heard on a radio program that the Salvation Army needed the space, and within a half hour our partners had identified the space and reached out to their representatives," according to Jeffrey Donnelly, an Emmes associate.

Initially, the space will be used to house truckloads of relief supplies arriving from throughout the country. In addition, essential items to be used by relief workers involved in the cleanup of the World Trade Center will also be stored there.
