The breakfast cereal producer has started a $47.4 million, one million-sf comparable center in Minnoka, IL. The combined 1.9 million sf represents a $90 million investment. Completion of both projects is scheduled for 2003.
Profesional Real Estate Services of Newport Beach, CA is developing the Atlanta distribution center for Kellogg. Catellus Development corp. of Woodridge, IL is handling the Illinois project.
Food industry analysts say Kellogg needs the new distribution space to accommodate cookies and crackers products from Keebler Foods Co. which it bought in March of this year. Kellogg's projected sales for this year are $9 billion.
