Wal-Mart has added a garden center and parking spaces to the store, which had been vacant for more than two years. Other key tenants at Linden Plaza, which is owned by Edgewater, NJ-based Starwood Heller, include a Stop & Shop supermarket, Modell's sporting goods and Pay-Half.
"The Wal-Mart store plays a vital role in reinvigorating Linden Plaza by giving new life to a building that had remained unused for some time," according to Starwood Heller vice president Tod Heller. "Bringing in the world's largest retailer will enhance the viability for all of the tenants."
Starwood Heller develops residential, office and retail properties and has a commercial real estate investment fund with over $1.5 billion in assets.
