The private nonprofit fund, which has provided $32 million in financing for affordable housing projects in Minnesota since it was organized five years ago, cited Jenney's decade of experience in housing and development.
Recently, Jenney has served as a consultant for several organizations, including the Minneapolis Center for Neighborhoods, the St. Louis Park, MN-based PLUS Foundation, and the Seattle-based Preclampsia Foundation.
He served as executive director of Operation Threshold, a community action agency in Waterloo, Iowa and was formerly project director for the Iowa Institute for Low-Income Housing, Energy and Telecommunications.
The McKnight Foundation and the Blandin Foundation combined to launch the Greater Minnesota Housing Fund in 1996 in order to support the creation of affordable housing for people in the 80 counties outside the Twin Cities metropolitan region.
