Morris' duties at his wife's firm weren't disclosed. Morris & Fellows Inc. advises institutional investors and international real estate investment groups.
Morris started with Northside in 1979 as a branch manager; rose to general sales manager in 1984; and became executive vice president in 1986. He moved into the president's chair in 1999 after Johnny Isakson, the company's president, was elected to fill the U.S. House of Representatives' seat vacated by Newt Gingrich.
Northside has 20 offices and 939 sales associates.
