The 25-year-old legend decided against building a second new home on Lake Bessie in the affluent southwest Orlando community of Isleworth. Instead, he sold the three-acre tract back to Isleworth Land Co. for $3.5 million or $1.17 million per acre ($26.78 per sf)--the same price he paid for the dirt in 1997, according to Orange County real estate records.

Woods, still single, is renovating a home in Isleworth. He has finished first on the PGA Tour five times this year and ranks first among the tour's money leaders, according to online statistics from the Professional Golfers Association.
