Kinum was given the executive post after what Bruce Mosler, president of C&W's New York-based U.S. operations, calls an "exhaustive search aided by a team effort that included our senior brokerage professionals in New Jersey." He will join C&W with the title of senior managing director and branch manager. Don Eisen, who has headed C&W of New Jersey for a number of years, will retain his title as executive managing director, but will shift his focus to business development and community relations, according to Mosler.
Mosler adds that Eisen "has built our New Jersey business into a model organization for the firm and for the industry. His change of career will keep him with C&W, where he will use his talents and professional profile in New Jersey real estate to continue to grow our business there."
Kinum had spent the last 18 years with Garibaldi, where he had put together an impressive client list. That list, heavily laced with pharmaceutical, personal care, chemical and financial services companies, includes such names as Schering-Plough, Hoechst Celanese, Mennen, Bristol-Myers Squibb, American Cyanamid, TransAmerica, Andersen Consulting, AlliedSignal, Prudential Property Co., First Fidelity Bank, Public Service Electric & Gas and CPC International. He has been working as Schering-Plough's worldwide real estate rep, and spoke for the pharma giant last year when it bought Novartis Pharmaceuticals' massive 1.8 million-sf campus in Summit, NJ.
Prior to joining the Garibaldi organization, where he was made a partner in 1998, Kinum was a regional ad manager for Hearst Publications and as principal in an executive search firm. "He has the experience and administrative talent to lead what is already one of our most successful offices worldwide," Mosler concludes.
