In mid-2001, the team sold one of three pad sites to Terry Wilkinson, an abutting landowner who plans to build an office building on his land. The most recent sale, a 30,485-sf pad site, also will bring an office building tailored for the doctor-buyer's practice. The third tract on the hard corner is under contract to a bank; the deal should close in early February, Leighton tells GlobeSt.com.
Leighton says the property was on the market for some time as retail pad sites. Despite office market conditions, a conversion to that category stepped up the interest, brought the closings and triggers plans for neighborhood-type buildings in the growing community.
