The Heart Hospital of Milwaukee is scheduled to begin operations in fall of 2003. The Heart Hospital of Milwaukee will be MedCath's first hospital built with a new, lower capital cost configuration and is expected to have about $36 million in annual revenues when fully operational.
MedCath owns and operates eight heart hospitals with a total of 460 licensed beds. They are located in Austin, TX; Phoenix and Tucson, AZ; Little Rock, AR; Bakersfield, CA; Albuquerque, NM; Dayton, OH; and Sioux Falls, SD. MedCath has begun developing three additional hospitals, which will be located in Harlingen, TX and San Antonio, TX and the North Shore region of New Orleans.
