The Walmart project, proposed by TDC Roosevelt Road, LLC, is tentatively scheduled to be considered by the city's plan commission Feb. 14. The site is just north of Roosevelt Road and in an area that has seen major residential redevelopment.
The Jewel and Dominick's food stores in the area are among the grocery chains' top producing outlets, Zifkin tells the Real Estate Investment Association's Summit 2002. The retail broker says city retail properties top every prospective buyer's wish list, but land has become overpriced.
