The university has signed a six-year pact for another Valley learning center in a deal structured by is parent's representative, Apollo Development Corp. of Phoenix. Tom Adelson, Jim Fijan, Jerry Roberts and Kevin Calihan, all of CB Richard Ellis in Phoenix, represented the building owner, Salt River Community Property Development & Asset Management of Phoenix. The business center is located at 8600 E. Chaparral Rd.
The university is part of the Apollo Group Inc., a leading US for-profit educational organization. The school has its main campus in Northwest Phoenix plus several other satellites in the Valley. In all, the group has 30 campuses and 70 learning centers in 36 states, Puerto Rico and Vancouver, BC, to make it the nation's largest private university, according to Hoover's Online. In addition to Western International University, it also runs the College for Financial Planning and Institute for Professional Development.
