The Aeropark is a 1,300-acre mixed-use development just south of Detroit Metropolitan Airport.

The land use plan for the Aeropark includes 55 acres designated for class-A office use, 425 acres for technology/flex space development, 81 acres for logistics/transformation centers, 67 acres of commercial and 249 acres for open space with a 27-hole championship golf course.

Aeropark land was also designated one of 11 "SmartZones" in the state, which will enable the park to raise about $65 million for infrastructure development.

County officials estimate the new commerce park will generate 25,000 new jobs and $40 million in local property tax revenue after its 15-year build-out period.

Most recently, a judge ruled the county is allowed to condemn land for the project because it is in the public's interest. Some property owners are appealing the decision.
