The 34-unit Christown Manor at 5045 N. 17th Ave. in Phoenix brings $1.5 million from John Pittman of Phoenix. Built in 1985, it was sold by Scottsdale's Encore Management.In a $925,000 takeover from Encore Management, Joseph and Christine David, also of Phoenix, acquired the 28-unit Highland Arms Apartments. The 24-year-old Phoenix property is located at 1340 E. Highland Ave. Todd Braun and Paul Gross, both of CB Richard Ellis' Phoenix office, negotiated the transactions.
In another CB Richard Ellis deal, Bert Kempfert in Phoenix and Mike Chapman in the Tucson office closed a $3.2-million sale for the 88-unit Block House Apartments. The CB Richard Ellis team represented the seller, North Street Association Inc. of Overland Park, KS. The 94,800-sf complex, geared to students, encompasses 248-bedroom leases. The Tucson property is located at 1920 N. First St., just eight blocks from the University of Arizona campus. Andrew Tate of Hendricks & Partners in Phoenix represented the buyer, Wrightwood I LLC of Scottsdale.
