"The quality of the postings is significantly higher than in months past," George Roddy Sr., president, tells GlobeSt.com. The postings for Tarrant, Denton, Dallas and Collin counties, hitting courthouses a week ago, had 98 commercial properties on the roster plus a growing number of residential listings.
Roddy predicts that the quality, or valuation, will continue to grow into midyear. More higher profile, newer properties plagued by low occupancies are sure to make the list. Most, he says, will be office holdings whereas retail foreclosures will be primarily in the 5,000-sf to 6,000-sf category. The industrial front, at this stage, is practically escaping the harsh reality of a down market. The largest industrial property making the roster is a 61,500-sf training facility at 6029 Campus Circle in Irving. The 20-year-old property is assessed at $2.3 million and was used for a Michaels training facility.
