The project occupies 9.14 acres and is being developed by Alexander Zirpolo of College/Oceanside Southwest LLC. Designed by SGPA Architecture and Planning, the marketplace will feature a 14,000-sf food court with Panda Express, Bruegger's Bagels and McDonald's.
Armstrong Garden Center, a full-service car wash, Aaron's Rents, specialty restaurants and a North County Transit District passenger center will also be tenants at the center.
Del Oro Marketplace takes advantage of "a major transit hub and expanding industrial base" in the area, says Michael Cather, project architect.
Reg Kobzi and Joe Greeno, senior vice presidents for Grubb & Ellis, are the exclusive leasing agents. Kobzi is confident Del Oro Marketplace will be successful because it has a large residential base, increasing industrial employment and other major retailers located nearby. Completion is scheduled for summer 2002.
