Blaine Black of Trammell Crow Co.'s Phoenix office tells GlobeSt.com that the firm selected Phoenix for two reasons: the existing labor pool and its president has a house in the area. Black and Trammell Crow's Pat Devine represented the tenant in the lease negotiations. Ken McQueen of Insignia/ESG's Phoenix office brokered the deal for the owner of 7850 S. Hardy Dr.
Trammell Crow's Bo Mills and Mark Detmer have signed a new tenant for ProLogis at its Martin Van Buren Commerce Park, located at 510 N. 37th Dr. in Phoenix. Pen's Construction will use the 4,306-sf industrial site for storage, shipping and receiving and construction materials sales. The lease spans four years.
Mesa's Stapley Center gets Arizona-based ANA Ventures LLC and Country Cos., a financial services and insurance provider, as new tenants. ANA Ventures' 4,694-sf signing for five years is valued at nearly $497,000. The site will be used by the Arizona Nephrology Associates for a medical clinic for patients of kidney diseases and disorders.
The 2,500-sf Country Cos.' lease extends for three years and carries a $318,000 value.
Insignia/ESG's managing directors Karsten Peterson and Dave Seeger along with associate Mark Gustin represented the ANA Ventures and Country Cos. Owner Denali National Trust used in-house representation for the deals at Stapley Center, situated at 1640 S. Stapley Dr.
In Scottsdale, Peter Piper Inc. has scheduled an April move into 14,481 sf of office space at Kierland in a five-year contract valued at $1.9 million. Jerry Roberts of CB Richard Ellis' Phoenix office represented the building owner, RyanTravelers Kierland LLC of Phoenix. James B. Watkins of Lee & Associates Arizona, also in Phoenix, handled the tenant side of the talks. The tenant will relocate its corporate headquarters from 6263 N. Scottsdale Rd.
And a retail signing adds another shop to the under-construction Village at Prescott Gateway in the suburb of Prescott. Tom Woods of Colliers International's Phoenix team represented tenants, Maureen and Paul Shrum of Prescott, and owner Prescott Mall LLC of Phoenix. The Shrums intend to open a 1,101-sf wig store. The retail project will open in March at corner of Lee Boulevard and Highway 69.
