ASHBURN, VA-George Washington University picks up PSINet's leftover headquarters in a $27.5 million deal. The college and bankrupt internet access provider had to get legal approval from a bankruptcy court before closing the long-agreed-upon deal.
Both the building and the land are located in the 576-acre University Center where the university operates its Northern Virginia campus. Another local Internet service provider, Cogent Communications, Inc. is exploring the possibility of taking over what's left of PSINet.
