Grubb & Ellis Co.'s Donald M. Arones, senior vice president in Phoenix, and Steve Gerhard of Insignia/ESG's Phoenix office negotiated the dual Mesa leases between the state and property owner. Ground has just broken on a 24,000-sf building at 163 N. Dobson Rd. and a 21,000-sf structure is being planned for the southeast corner of Main and Stapley. Details of the second building project and additional information on the N. Dobson Road project were not available by press time.
Meanwhile, BTS Construction has bought 2.3 acres from Amerimar Properties, owners of the former Tri-City Mall. The groundwork is being laid for yet another building project for the Arizona Department of Economic Security. Arones also represented BTS Construction in the land purchase.
