New Plan Excel Realty also is hawking a 28,000-sf, single-tenant grocery in the Northwest Valley, Shari Tucker, senior associate for Phoenix-based Sperry Van Ness Mullin, tells GlobeSt.com. That holding has just come to market. The Food City store is the anchor for a 120,000-sf neighborhood center at 43rd Avenue and Thomas Road in Phoenix.
The Mesa property recently was converted from an ABCO grocery to IGA through its affiliation with Dallas-based Fleming Co. The property is located at the southwest corner of Dobson and Guadalupe roads in the 95,000-sf Dobson Guadalupe Shopping Center. Tucker and associate Mike Day represented buyer and seller in the transaction for the 20-year-old building. The IGA store is situated in the Southeast Valley in a "middle-of-the-road neighborhood, with decent demographics," according to Tucker.
