The Associated Builders and Contractors has given a prestigious stamp of approval to McCarthy. The firm is now one of about 470 in the nation accorded an accredited quality contractor's designation from the ABC.
The designation takes into account in-house policies, awards and charitable activities as well as the on-the-job performance. ABC represents more than 21,000 construction and construction-related firms in the nation. McCarthy is the nation's oldest privately held construction firm and is ranked as the nation's 17th largest.
Staubach has promoted Betty Johnson to vice president of communications, marketing and client relations in the Dallas office. She will continue to manage the chairman's office for activities related to clients, prospects and special projects. She joined Staubach eight years ago. She previously was just vice president of client relations.
