Miami-based Gold Coast Beverage Distributors is taking 60,560 sf for two years at an aggregate rent of $423,920 or $3.50 per sf. The lease brings the park's occupancy to 33%.

Gold Coast needed expansion space after recently acquiring William Thies and Sons, the Miller Beer distributor for Broward County, according to Kathleen Alberts, senior vice president/brokerage, Brenner Real Estate Group, who handled the transaction and leases/manages the property. About 50 employees will work at Gold Coast's new location. The company also has distribution space in nearby Pompano Beach, FL.

Oakland Park Station was originally a Sears Roebuck & Co. regional distribution and repair center. Zenith acquired the park in 2000. The property is in the center of Oakland Park's Downtown Community Redevelopment Area.

The park displays a 45-foot signature clock tower and metal roofs which reflect the city's Old Florida design criteria for its urban revitalization.
