VRD presented its plans to the planning board earlier this week, beginning the process of securing a zoning variance based on the height of the two buildings. The current height limit for the site is 35 feet. One of the structures would rise to about 52 feet (three stories), while the other would be 70 feet high (four stories).

Another hearing has been scheduled for the last week in February, where the major topic is expected to be the traffic impact. Valley Road Development officials have not outlined a timeline for development of the project.
