The new owners include local investors Richard Moorhead, Arthur Hodes, Robert Mack and John Lombardo (the latter is the former general manager of the Ocean Place Conference Resort in nearby Long Branch). The identity of the seller and the terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The name "Branches" derives from the facility's proximity to both West Long Branch and Long Branch, adjoining communities on the Jersey Shore. As part of the renovation, high-speed Internet access is planned in strategic meeting spaces for corporate clientele.
