For Esoterix, based in Austin, TX, the new facility is a major expansion. The company currently has facilities in Texas, California, Florida, Tennessee, Minnesota and Colorado, and its first Garden State facility places it in close proximity to many of the pharmaceutical industry's largest companies. The move will initially create 30 positions.

"This lease reaffirms Central New Jersey's position as the mecca for the pharmaceutical industry," according to John Horan, senior vice president of Coldwell Banker Commercial/Feist & Feist Realty. The Roseland, NJ-based firm was the exclusive rep for Esoterix. Bob Sager of Insignia/ESG represented the property owner, who was not named.
