Opus West paid $1.8 million for the land. Mark Seale and Jennifer Bishop, both of the Phoenix office of CB Richard Ellis, represented the seller, Talavi Associates LLC, an entity of SunCor Development Co. Kit Tiedemann and Chuck Nixon, also with the CB Richard Ellis Phoenix office, handled negotiations for Opus West.
Opus West also is getting Federated Mutual Insurance Co. of Owatonna, WI for a 41,000-sf spot in a building that delivers in the summer. The tenant will set up an insurance claims processing center. Tiedemann and Nixon represented the tenant for pact, valued at $8 million over the full term. Building owner Opus West used in-house representative Jeff Roberts.
