Koll is interviewing top Atlanta real estate professionals to run the Southeast division.
Jake Ragusa, Koll's vice president in charge of the expansion, couldn't be reached at GlobeSt.com's publication deadline to learn what real estate categories the firm will first be focusing on.
Koll, headed by CEO Steven Van Amburgh, currently is working on 50 projects nationally, totaling 10 million sf with a construction value of $1 billion, according to the company's Web site. But in Atlanta, Koll has no projects working at the moment.
Sources familiar with Koll's growth strategy tell GlobeSt.com the company decided to open the Atlanta division after reviewing its presence in the Northeast and Southeast markets.
Like other national developers, Koll does marketing and leasing joint ventures, public/private partnerships, asset and investment management, finance, construction management, design/build, and land development.
