Now, a spokesperson from Arthur D. Little tells GlobeSt.com that the consulting firm is looking to cancel its 365,000-sf lease here. The company leased the space a few years ago but never moved in. It remained in its headquarters in nearby Cambridge.
The company recently filed for bankruptcy protection. According to Twig Mowatt, company spokesperson, "We are seeking to be released from our lease contract at Arsenal." Mowatt says that it is up to the bankruptcy court to decide whether ADL will be allowed to cancel its lease. It is unclear, she says, when the court will decide the issue.
