The 13-story, L-shaped building built by McGough Construction contains 635,000 sf, including seven large office floors featuring 55,000-sf plates with decentralized cores, providing flexibility in the arrangement of work teams and easy access to data andtelecommunications cabling.

Entries for the Minnesota NAIOP award were judged on site improvements and design, architectural integrity, market feasibility and project access, and the judges' overall impression.

"Because we own and occupy the building, we focus on productivity, long-term operating costs, and high aesthetic values," says Julio Fesser, director of facility planning for Minnesota Life.
