WorkPlaceUSA is steering Zyvex's expansion of its research facilities in a two-phase project. The first phase consists of interior design work of an existing 22,000-sf research area and build-out of another 22,000-sf facility on the same site. Move-in is ticketed for April 1, capping work that began nearly three months ago. "Each day, we see our vision come closer to reality," says Timothy M. Gilmore, Zyvex CFO. The privately held company has its headquarters and research at 1321 N. Plano Rd.
Zyvex touts itself as is the first molecular nanotechnology company. It is using an assembly-based systems approach to integrating macro, micro and nano-devices to the real world. Founded in 1997, the firm is working to produce its first micro-system assembler, capable of handling and assembling a variety of micro-scale parts.
