The prize among the local properties may be a 64,501-sf building on 6.46 acres at 4905 S. Kedzie Ave. on the city's Southwest Side. The value of the property is more than $4 million, according to the most recent Cook County property tax assessment.

Tax records indicate at least two redevelopment opportunities among the Chicago properties. A 55,451-sf building on 3.6 acres at 1422 W. 47th St. has a market value of $725,000, according to the assessor's office, which places 70% of the property's value in the land. Likewise, a 66,020-sf building on 7 acres is worth $638,000, according to the most recent assessment, with 91% of the property's value deemed to be in the land.

Also in the city, a 20,585-sf building on 1.24 acres at 4234 N. Kedzie Ave. is on the block as are two suburban properties: a 32,807-sf building on 4.5 acres at 52 E. Northwest Hwy. in Des Plaines and a 13,937-sf building on 0.83 acre in Oak Park.

Also on the block are a 16,480-sf building on 1.55 acres at 8008 W. Brown Deer Rd. in Milwaukee and a 16,854-sf building on 1.94 acres in Beloit.
