John Buck Co.'s UBS Tower at 1 N. Wacker Dr. won development of the year honors while Opus North Corp. took home the developer of the year title. The $80-million makeover of 175 W. Jackson Blvd. was cited as redevelopment of the year, while Intell Investment Management's Menahem Deitcher, its manager, won property rep of the year. Equity Office Properties captured property management company of the year.
While Eastdil's team of John R. Burns, Stephen J. Livaditis, Blake R. Johnson and Jaime M. Fink won the investment broker of the year honors again, Hank Cox and Robert Reaumond of C.B. Richard Ellis emerged as office brokers of the year while Vernon F. Schultz of Colliers Bennett Kahnweiler won industrial broker of the year. Stanley Nitzberg of Mid-America Real Estate Corp. checked out with the retail broker of the year award.
Also lauded was U.S. Equities Realty's diversity and outreach efforts with the Chicago Public Schools and Chicago Park District.
On the construction front, Wright Architects was named architectural/design firm of the year, Jones Lang LaSalle's work on Exelon Nuclear Corp.'s Warrenville headquarters earned it build-to-suit team of the year and Chune Construction Corp. won interior contractor of the year.
