The renovation of the building, also known as 60 Park Place, included a variety of functional and aesthetic improvements that brought it to the class A level, according to Kushner officials. The prominent exterior lighting is designed to give it a more distinctive look in the skyline of New Jersey's largest city.

The building takes its name from the nearby Military Park, also a downtown landmark. It's also located near the city's courts, the Rutgers and Seton Hall law schools, the New Jersey Performing Arts Center and Newark Penn Station. Tenants include Arthur's Downtown, a ground-level restaurant, and office tenants IDAMAR Enterprises, Government Lending, Merrill Corp., the New Jersey Institute for Social Justice, Phoenix Waste Services, the Compensation Rating Inspection Bureau, Hunt Hamlin & Ridley, Hudson City Savings Bank and GTG Printing.
