Lee Dunlap & Associates of Dallas designed the 55,000-sf project, which breaks ground in mid-April on a five-acre tract at the intersection of Sanden and FM 544. Raymond Construction Co. of Dallas is the general contractor.
Southern Fastening Systems is adding about 30% more warehouse space than it currently leases, Randy Wood, principal of the Morse Co. in Dallas, tells GlobeSt.com. The firm is steering the project from site selection through its November delivery for Southern Fastening Systems. He says the deal took nine months to pull together. Jon Lewis of Ebby Halliday's Brownlee team represented the land seller, Birmingham Land Trust.
"For Wylie, TX this is a pretty big deal," Wood says of the recent land closing. The project site is part of an undeveloped area in various stages of industrial development along the major artery leading into Plano. Southern Fastening Systems is a leading manufacturer and distributor of construction fastening systems.
